Laurence Jones

Former Commercial Director of Endemol Shine UK and Managing Director of Initial Film and TV, Laurence has extensive knowledge of working in television and digital content over the last 20 years, leading creative teams and ideas and developing and implementing commercial strategy across TV and digital media. Credits are varied and numerous and range across many genres including reality (Big Brother), entertainment (Total Wipeout), factual (the Broadcast award winning John Lennon’s Jukebox for ITV South Bank), factual entertainment (the RTS award winning Dating In The Dark), children’s (scripted entertainment - Paradise Café and SClub7), digital (Dan TDM: Making a Scene, for YouTube Red), games (launch of Good Catch Studios) and live events (Soccer Aid and the Dan TDM tour).

Since leaving Endemol Shine, he is Chief Commercial Officer for an e-commercia digital start-up and Creative Head of Broadcast for a factual independent tv studio with two recent network commissions, and has woken up a few times with a horror story or two to write down.

John Paul Chapple

a producer and writer, his film credits include Bathory-Countess of Blood; Guy X and Big Kiss, Billy Zane’s directorial debut. TV credits include Once Upon A Time, a TV spectacular celebrating Hans Christian Anderson; 2000 Today for the BBC, a 36-hour TV event for the new millennium; and TV tributes to Elizabeth Taylor, Burt Bacharach and Hal David and Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller. He was formerly director of JGTV where he co-devised, financed and produced sci-fi action adventure show Scavengers, for 20th Century Fox/ITV. He was a consultant producer at Endemol UK for 8 years until 2016 and was UK production head for Windmill Lane Productions, an executive at Portman Productions and Head of Sales at Global TV. Other credits: Hear My Song, directed by Peter Chelsom; High Hopes (Mike Leigh); Wars of the Roses (Michael Bogdanov); The Human Bomb (Anthony Page) and The Chain (Jack Gold).

David Burgess

David has worked extensively in film and advertising production and marketing. He was Managing Director of Direktion Films working with Director Tony Kaye (American History X), MD of Harry Films working with Franc Roddam (Quadrophenia) and Founder and MD of The Business working with Roland Joffe (The Killing Fields, The Mission). He has lectured on commercials production for The British Council, is a Golden Lion Winner at Cannes and worked for the Foreign Office as a consultant for the G8 Summit. He was executive producer on the award winning short film White Bits, starring Nic Moran.
